1 Research-book migration control

This Quarto project is the maintainable publication lane for the Dialed & Diced research book. It is not yet canonical. The archival Word manuscript remains controlling until every substantive section is migrated or explicitly dispositioned and the HTML, PDF, and DOCX editions pass their release audits.

The chapter map, evidence controls, archival inventory, and rendering system exist. Substantive manuscript migration remains open. Generated files under _output/ must never be hand-edited.

1.1 Ownership boundary

This nested project is owned only by the Research Book task. The sibling Consultant-Business-Plan.xlsx and Consultant-Business-Plan.Rmd remain under the Independent Business Consultant task and are read-only to this project unless a separately accepted handoff authorizes an import.

1.2 Canonical transition gate

A vertical flow from the archival Word manuscript through inventory and Quarto source to HTML, PDF, and DOCX. All three outputs feed a completeness and render audit that either promotes Quarto or leaves the archival manuscript controlling.

1.3 Evidence rule

Digital analysis may organize, calculate, compare, and visualize. It does not establish material identity, weld integrity, proof capacity, drop performance, or suitability for human use. Prototype lineages remain independent unless evidence explicitly supports a shared conclusion.
